(at the heart and art of baseball is peaceful praise and powerful expectations)
the gifted life sign,
Miles, Mo’ne or a Monet,
art at the right pitch…..
an un-shy calm sings,
the catch is caught living large,
outside of borders….
give chance to a change,
chi town ball over bullet,
to cheer not mourn youth….
diamonds roughed by life.
who would believe the promise?
now give play a chance….
their gift is waiting,
the scene of the unseen best,
a work left un-done….
easy is not safe,
or moving without a thought,
still-life, is not still…..
and so some hope lives,
in the base path of a life,
play for peace and time…
now hands up and pray,
sleeves up in serious work,
the game is not lost…
