3. Howard University – High School Summer Enrichment Programs
(Early Application deadline March 1st , 2025)
Sunday July 13th 2025 – Friday July 18th 2025 Howard University’s School of Business Summer Enrichment Programs introduces students to college life, teamwork, and fundamentals in four growing areas of business: Accounting, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, and Entrepreneurship. Each identified area provides significant opportunities for students to explore careers and progressive opportunities for professional development. The program combines classroom learning from the School of Business faculty, company site visits, and group presentations to prepare students with the practical skills and critical thinking abilities needed to benefit them in their future academic and professional endeavors. Each student in the Summer Enrichment Program will gain access to leadership, team building, college, and cultural enrichment activities.
The Summer Enrichment Program will be held in person this year. Students will stay on campus for a week-long experience. The cost of the program is free. In addition, each will register for one of the four distinctive tracks: Accounting, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, and Entrepreneurship. In each track, students will gain valuable exposure to important business topics and methods of analysis from Howard University School of Business professors and professionals in the field. Students will be placed in groups throughout the program to create a business and/or product that solves a problem in their respective fields.

4. Jane Street Academy of Math and Programming
(Application deadline: March 12, 2025)
The Jane Street Academy of Math and Programming (AMP) is a five-week summer program for recent high school graduates (high school class of ‘25) interested in math and computer science. AMP provides a rigorous and interactive STEM curriculum focused on mathematics, computer programming, data analysis, and game theory.
Summer days at AMP are rigorous and rewarding — full of interactive classes, game playing, and problem solving that are guided by excellent instructors and teaching assistants. Students receive attentive support through all courses with a student-to-teacher ratio of less than 4:1.
During the week, you’ll be in session from 9:00am – 5:00pm, which includes classes, office hours, meals and snack breaks, problem sets, guest speaker sessions, and of course, plenty of puzzles and games like Figgie®. Once classes are done, you might find yourself playing games at the residences (dorm-like facilities where other AMP students and teaching assistants can hang out), exploring with your fellow students, or heading to study hours. Weekends are largely independent, although AMP staff will plan some fun events if you wish to attend. Note – location is in NYC.
Who: AMP is for 2025 high school graduates who are interested in math and computer science, and have experienced barriers to accessing advanced STEM educational opportunities. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

AMP will run from June 30th – August 1st, 2025. There is no cost to attend AMP. Tuition, housing, meals, travel to and from the program, and organized social activities will be covered by Jane Street.
$5000 SCHOLARSHIP
Jane Street will award a $5000 scholarship to each AMP participant to support their future educational opportunities.
5. Summer STEM @ Cooper Union
(Applications due March 26, 2025)
The Cooper Union is hosting in-person classes this summer on topics that include Design Thinking in Engineering, Embedded Systems, Design and Drawing for Engineering, and more. Priority is given to high school students with no design or engineering experience. There is a fee for classes, however, full fee waivers are available. Women and individuals who identify with groups historically excluded from STEM careers, including Black, Latino/a, LGBTQ+, and Neurodiverse people, are strongly encouraged to apply. 6.All Star Code Summer Intensive (Male, non-binary)
(Applications due May 2, 2025)
All Star Code’s Summer Intensive is a trans¬form¬ative experience designed to equip students with vital technical and professional skills.
Choose between the accelerated 3-week Tech Sprint or the comprehensive 6-week Tech Marathon, both offering live instruction, personalized support, and a collaborative community for students to jumpstart their journey in technology and innovation.
The Summer Intensive is a fully live-remote program. Instruction takes place in our virtual classroom via Zoom and is highly engaging and interactive.

7. Girls Who Code Summer Program
High school students gain the computer science skills they need to make an impact and prepare for tech careers in our free, virtual Summer Programs. With two program options to choose from, beginner to advanced coders can develop valuable skills, find community, and build their professional networks at a pace and format that works best for them.
Current 9th-11th graders
In the two-week Summer Immersion Program (SIP), high school students attend live, virtual classes sponsored by industry-leading companies. SIP students dive into the tech world and game design, covering concepts ranging from beginner to intermediate computer science, the step-by-step game design process, and the basics of UX design. ($300 needs-based grant for eligible students in the United States.)
Current 9th-12th graders, including Summer Programs alums and graduating seniors
In Pathways, high school students can explore web development, cybersecurity, data science, and artificial intelligence. Participants work at their own pace to learn coding languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, have the opportunity to build community with other students, and hear from industry-leading companies at live events. (6 weeks to complete course projects at your own pace.)
8.Girls Rise Up – STEM From Dance (summer program for girls)
Camp is STEM From Dance’s three-week summer program designed for girls to explore the exciting world of STEM. Each day is jampacked with dance to get participants moving and to supercharge their STEM skills. By the end of the program, participants will showcase what they’ve learned in a performance that merges dance and technology – all created by them and their fellow participants. Camp is an opportunity for girls of all backgrounds to level up their confidence, unlock new STEM abilities, and connect with a supportive tribe of like-minded creatives and technologists.

Must be 8-18

9. NYC Parks – Summer Day Camp
The Summer Day Camp program is an exciting chance for children ages 6 to 13 to have a fun-filled summer! Campers engage in sports, fitness, and outdoor adventures while taking part in many of New York City’s rich cultural and educational opportunities.
Activities include arts and crafts, field games, sports clinics, computer classes, STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), cultural and educational trips, and nature exploration with the Urban Park Rangers. Specific activities, dates, and trip destinations will depend upon the camp location.
Our summer camp program is extremely popular, and in order to make sure that we can accommodate children as fairly as possible, registration is conducted through a lottery.

10. Science of Smart Cities (SoSC)
(Applications: February 3 – April 15, 2025)
SoSC introduces students to topics in engineering, computer science and technology to make cities more sustainable, efficient and safer. Working in teams, students design projects using what they learn about electronics and circuitry, coding, microcontrollers, sensors and other hardware. During final presentations, students demonstrate how their project creatively provides a solution to a real-world challenge.
Dates: July 7 – August 8, 2025
Eligibility:
-Age 12 by the start of the program but not older than 14 on the day program begins

Locations: 2025 Programming will be held at Brooklyn-based Community school sites in District 17 and District 22.
11. International School of Brooklyn Summer Program
ISB’s French and Spanish Language Immersion Program captures the best of language learning and summer fun! ISB Summer’s staff is comprised of experienced, talented, and creative educators. Small group sizes (assigned by age) of up to 18 children and 2 to 3 counselors (based on the number of kids in a group) help each group build strong bonds and allow for personalized learning and attention. ISB’s warm and welcoming atmosphere makes the Summer Program a great experience for children of all language levels. Beginners grasp the rhythm of the language, learn songs, and build daily vocabulary. More advanced speakers enhance their skills by learning new vocabulary and using the language with their peers.
ISB’s Summer Language Immersion Program is open to rising Pre-K 4* through rising 5th Grade students.
*Children must be 4 years old by September 5.

13. AIGA Worldstudio D×D Scholarships
(Applications due April 21, 2025)
AIGA believes all students deserve access to design education. The AIGA Worldstudio D×D Scholarships aim to increase diversity in the design profession by creating equitable opportunities for the next generation of creative talent. Scholarships are awarded annually to students enrolled at colleges and universities in the U.S. who demonstrate a commitment to positive social change, environmental responsibility, and cultural awareness through the practice of visual communication, including photography, illustration or graphic design.
Supported Majors:
• Communication design (includes: graphic and visual design, interaction design, game design)
• Illustration (includes: animation and computer animation)
• Photography
Eligibility:
• Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a discipline listed with the intention of pursuing that discipline as a career.
• Students must be citizens of the United States or possess a Green Card (formally known as a Permanent Resident Card or Form I-551). Having DACA certification and or a Social Security number does not make you eligible.
• Applicants must be enrolled and matriculated (or planning to matriculate) at accredited colleges and universities in the United States for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 academic school year with the intention of maintaining full-time status for the entire year. If you do not yet know which school you will attend, put your first choice.
• Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Scholarships are only awarded to those students who are in financial need. Applicants must, therefore, provide complete financial aid information on the scholarship form and have it approved by his/her/their Financial Aid Officer.
• Talent and financial need are significant factors in the review process.
• Though not a requirement, diversity of racial-ethnic groups as well as gender, sexual orientation, ability and disability, age, and other factors that shape creative perspective and professional experience are significant factors considered in jury decisions.
Scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $2,500–$3,000. One or two top awards may be given in an amount up to $5,000 at the jury’s discretion.
14. National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS)

High school and college scholarships are available to all students in the areas of academic excellence, entrepreneurship, leadership, literature, medicine, music, STEM, sustainability, visual arts, and more.

Check out the programs frequently, as our programs open and close throughout the year. Please note that applicants may not win more than one scholarship per calendar year. All NSHSS scholarship winners are eligible to compete for a Be More Grant.
Scholarship awards are designated solely for covering the recipient’s college tuition, room and board, or other essential educational expenses. The scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the winner’s chosen university. Recipients have the flexibility to utilize the scholarships for either four-year or two-year institutions.
